Wow.......our week ended with a bang!  Book Character Day AND pumpkin decorating with Mrs. Cathy!  Fun! Fun! Fun!

Our Bible lesson this week was Moses and the miracle at the Red Sea.  The Big Idea.....God parted the sea and saved his people.

Exodus 14:13a NIV - Moses answered the people, 'Do not be afraid.  Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today.'

Our curriculum began with the Letter H, the Number 6, the Color Pink and the Shape Heart.  We had some excited girls learning a pink heart! 

Our curriculum schedule is as follows:  Our class letter and number will be new weekly.   Our class color and shape will change every two weeks. 

We will continue to build and work on our fine motor skills daily.  It's important to build a strong foundation and strengthen those cute hand and finger muscles, so that they can correctly hold a crayon, scissors and even press down on the worksheets.  We like to switch between squeezing a soft ball, using a hole puncher, a small stapler and crinkling up a sheet of paper.  We get pretty creative to make sure were strengthening all of their little muscles :)

Weekly work is sent home in their Friday folders.  If they are part time or were absent, they will receive blank work pages.  We encourage these to be completed at home.  No need to return to school.  Please empty your child's folder and return on Mondays.
