Fall weather is finally here!  A hoodie, shorts and a campfire are one of our fall favorites!  Today we did a really cool Bible based Pumpkin Prayer.  A copy of it is in their folders and pictures will be posted on our Google Classroom Photos.

Our Bible lesson this week was learning and trying to understand The 10 Commandments.  Youtube has some great preschool videos! The Big Idea...God wants us to obey His commands.  

Exodus 20:1 NIV  "And God spoke all these words."

Our curriculum began with the Letter I, the Number 6, the Color Pink and the Shape Heart.  Lots of talks about ice cream, inchy the inchworm and igloos!  Be sure to check out their ice cream puppet!

Our curriculum schedule is as follows:  Our class letter and number will be new weekly.   Our class color and shape will change every two weeks. 

We will continue to build and work on our fine motor skills daily.  It's important to build a strong foundation and strengthen those cute hand and finger muscles, so that they can correctly hold a crayon, scissors and even press down on the worksheets.  We like to switch between squeezing a soft ball, using a hole puncher, a small stapler and crinkling up a sheet of paper.  We get pretty creative to make sure were strengthening all of their little muscles :)

Weekly work is sent home in their Friday folders.  If they are part time or were absent, they will receive blank work pages.  We encourage these to be completed at home.  No need to return to school.  Please empty your child's folder and return on Mondays.
